Winter a-wandering

For a more fantasy inspired vibe, the lovely Iðunn poses as a wandering lass, ready to take to the skies in search of new horizons. The thrill of adventure and the urging call of the wild take hold of her heart in this Orchid's Design costume ensemble, "The Little Adventuress".

A costume ensemble demands different attention to a Haute Couture piece.... the believability of the character to be portrayed must be taken into account... in this case tiny tears, visible stitching and patches were added to create the illusion of a weary and worn traveler.

Lace Harvest

Alice poses like a tiny vision in her "Lace Harvest" frock. Layers of soft tulle with delicate lace overlay.

Lace Harvest Frock

A barely tangible vision of pale demeanor and soft innocence. 

Lace overlays a dusky pink bodice, atop a full tulle skirt. Ribbon to cinch a delicate waist.

This pretty frock fastens as a  wrap-style dress, perfect for either Enchanted Dolls or dolls of a similar size.

Decadence and Decay

This week I was most delighted to be granted permission to showcase one of our little ensembles (The Unseelie Queen) worn by Miss LK's exquisite doll, Fiori.

This entrancing beauty brings to life a new side of this costume. One of a fearsome wrath and unwavering regality. It is very special to glimpse these new personalities manifest with the individual dolls who then wear these costumes.

Her immaculate photography makes me realise how ordinary my photographs look in comparison... hmmm, I will need to make an investment of a high quality camera one of these days. It really highlights the difference good tools and technology will make in representing your work and sharing it with others. I know the pieces are beautiful in real life, but it can be hard to capture their delicacy and individual intricacies digitally!
